Texana Center has announced that Prosperity Bank has taken the Presenting Sponsorship for this year’s Reaching for the Stars Gala. With plans to surpass last year’s successful fundraising event, Texana has chosen Safari Texas Ranch as the venue for the 2010 gala which will take place on April 9.

The event will benefit a variety of Texana programs but the focus will be on the new west campus which will begin construction in February. The campus will encompass a Learning Center to provide education in life and job skills for people with developmental disabilities, and a Service Center to accommodate the staff who deliver services in Fort Bend County.
The Honorary Gala Chair will be filled by Mike and Judy Schmid and supported by Honorary Committee members Scott and Juliet Breeze, Judge Robert and Pat Hebert, Rosenberg Mayor Joe and Doris Gurecky, Ann Smith, Allison and Cassandra Wen, Billie and Jack Wendt and Fort Bend County Sheriff Milton and Marian Wright.
Greg Groogan of Fox 26 News will once again take the Master of Ceremonies role. The live auction will be conducted by Commissioner James Patterson. The event will also feature a silent auction and music by Yvonne Washington & the Mix.
