A record seven Lamar CISD students earned Texas Music Educators Association All-State status after performing in January at the All-Area auditions. TMEA All-State Choir members from Lamar CISD are Foster High School’s Alayna Thomas, Terry High School’s Carolyn Castillo, and Porscha Shaw, Quiterius Jackson, Chika Iguh and Richie Heussner, all from Lamar Consolidated High.
