Missouri City police found a man dead of an apparently self-inflicted gunshot wound to the abdomen after receiving a call around 12:28 p.m. Feb. 5 from the Holy Family Catholic Church at 1510 5th St.
Police were called to the church parking lot, where a man was seen in a car behind the church. When a police officer walked up to the car, he saw a man in the driver’s seat, not breathing, with a revolver laying on the floorboard between the man’s legs. He was not breathing, and there was a gunshot would in his stomach.
Police say there was a suicide note in the car.
According to reports, the 44-year-old man was reported missing on Feb. 3 to the Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies later found another suicide note at the deceased’s residence.

These are sad and difficult times. Empathy is a healing emotion…marginalization and dismissal are easier, but quite destructive.
That is a good question. What a sad, sad way to go.
Why two suicide notes?
These are difficult times. Let us not chose such a long term solution to a shorter term and collective problem. We need to reach out for ourselves, and each other.
