Kesha Rogers, seeking the Democratic nomination for Congressional District 22, has been making a big statement at the corner of U.S. 59 and Hwy. 6 in Sugar Land lately as she and campaign volunteers hold signs, one of which features a photo of President Barack Obama with an Adolf Hitler-style moustache. A larger sign features a space shuttle with the words, “come and take it.”

Kesha Rogers (far right) is seeking the Democratic nomination for Congressional District 22. She and campaign volunteers Stephanie Nelson and John Wright have been seen lately at the corner of U.S. 59 and Hwy. 6.
Rogers will face businessman Doug Blatt and Minister Freddie John Weider, Jr. in the March 2 Democratic Primary. Republican incumbent Pete Olson is unopposed in the Republican Primary.
Rogers, a Lyndon LaRouche activist, is calling for the impeachment of Obama.
“If you want to save NASA, call for the impeachment of Obama,” said Rogers Friday morning, and she and two campaign supporters were packing up their signs.
In her campaign literature, Rogers calls the government health care bill fascist, and says it will kill Americans. She also calls for a “global Glass-Steagall”
“The world is blowing out now; and we the people must force the matter of national sovereignty and bankruptcy reorganization into the discussion now, or there won’t be much of anything left to reorganize,” reads a handout from Rogers’ campaign. “That’s why I am running for Congress, and why I endorse LaRouche’s call to save the world with a global ‘Glass-Steagall.’ Nations must tell the bankers of the world, ‘You must take your losses, we are investing in productive jobs for our people again.’”
The Glass-Steagall act was passed in 1933 during the Great Depression, following the 1929 stock market crash and nationwide commercial bank failure. The act separated commercial and investment banking activities, and was repealed in 1999.

Points well taken, Viewpoint. If folks running for office have ideals out of the playbook of another political party–then they should run as a candidate on that party’s platform, not against the President within the President’s own political party. If individuals agree with the message of the Teapartiers—then so be it, they should join the Teapartiers’ Movement.
The Anti- Obama Agenda is quite obvious an agenda of hypocrisy, misguidance, and bogus hooey in disguise for a much deeper symptoms of something else when individuals kept mum during the misery of the previous eight years and who, now, want to make the miseries birthed during those Bush/Cheney eight years be Obama’s creation and fault; and, in actuality Obama’s efforts in trying to put out multiple fires going on simultaneously is response to the inherited misery already in motion by the previous administration. Furthermore, Obama’s efforts to stop runaway health care costs is being chacterized in an untoward manner purposefully for the sake of political gains by the opposing party. But in actuality, it is a courageous effort to “do right” by the American people and those who cloaked President Obama’s Healthcare effort Reforms are being disingenuous and “not” being genuine about what is “really” in the best interests of the American People regarding Healthcare Reform.
Therefore, it is my humble opinion that Ms. Rogers’ exhibition of Anti-Obama is a ruse to get attention and be noticed even if it means being noticed by those who oppose Obama in another party for reasons of her own self-interest of political gain. If Ms. Rogers had done likewise during the misery of the previous eight years and called for Bush to be impeached during the origins of all our current problems facing Americans, then her current actions as well as those of the opposing party/parties and the Teapartiers, for me and in my opinion, would have more validity as being authentic as being anti-big-government rather than just Anti-Obama.

” a new study by the University of Illinois at Chicago says.
Nearly 150 employees, politicians and contractors in the nation’s second-largest county have been convicted on corruption charges since 1957, according to a report released Thursday by the university and the Better Government Association (.pdf)”
its called Cook Cty styled politics…..many call it what it is….corrupt.

I was flabbergasted to see a group of Larouchites handing out literature at a county office a couple of years ago. I had no idea they were still around.
I’d agree we need to shake up the federal government some, but I don’t think taking advice on the space program from a political party opposed to CALCULUS of all things is such a good idea!
19. February 2010 at 8:28 pm
We support our President Obama words, that GOP party need to step forward an share ideas for bi-party work to get it right, if they have any ideas at all! Olson is another G. Bush friend, thats opposing public needs for justice! We voters oppose Cand. Rogers or any GOP candidate that will repeat our previous eightyears of former Pres. G. Bush!
19. February 2010 at 8:14 pm
District 22 Cand. Kesha Rogers is wrong, running as a Democrat Party, an lost! Taxpayers want less government, then some programs need tobe cut, if no one want to pay the cost to go to moon! We have life here on the ground to raise healthy and to educate, to limit prison over-crowded by innocent citizen that can’t afford to pay lawyer fees for fair justice!

LaRouche’s call for the full reinstatement of the Glass-Steagall Act is absolutely necessary for not only for merely protecting the commercial (state, local and chartered) banks from the speculative parasitic predations of Wall Street and the City of London, but for the real economic health and future of our very republic itself. Further, I fully concur with his call for a “global Glass-Steagall”, in the context, and in a community of principle among perfectly independent sovereign nation state republics, of which the U.S. is the first among equals.
The United States is the key nation thru which a new renaissance for all mankind can become real; Kesha Rogers is absolutely right, in my view, to make her focus the issue of NASA’s survival, and the main engine — the leader — for the restoration of the U.S. as future-oriented, science-driver economy.
A concert of nations wishing to break from the imperialist, monetarist, globally-imposed one-world system, and wishing to be part of that community of principle among perfectly sovereign states, cannot do it without the United States, for reasons which anyone familiar with the struggle for independence, and formation of this, the first true, principled republic to appear in history, which characterizes this nation, recognizes.
As for remarks which attempt to make Kesha look … what? Such as this by MoCity:
“Ms. Rogers is a democrat… and black… and she wants to impeach Obama?!?” (etc.),
with all due respect, are laughable.
Clearly, it matters not what Obama’s ethnic origins are, but that the very survival of civilization is at stake, and that without the U.S. as the leader — first among equals — of that new renaissance for all mankind, the future is bleak — worse — indeed.
Were Abama to turn 180 degrees from the course towards the reefs of madness and the precipice of destruction he has apparently set, all would be well, and I would be the first to call him the greatest president to date.
But no; he even repudiates FDR, saying, no “New Deal”.
If you are a Democrat, and are also against the FDR policy outlook, then you are no true American; if you are a Republican, and you are against Lincoln and his policy outlook, then equally you are no true American, but a bunch of flakes, and if you are Senators and Congressmen and women and have contempt or faint praise or revisionist ideas for and of FDR and Lincoln, you will surely lose the republic, as Benjamin Franklin so pithily warned, in 1787.
About 15-20 years ago, one of LaRouche’s enemies in the casino called Wall Street, famously said:
We hate you, LaRouche, but we know you’re right”.

You won’t see Olson working for CAD or rate caps. For them it isn’t about the average taxpayers. The middle get it from both ends. I say elect the CAD board, don’t let the taxing entities pick these members anymore so they can point their finger at them and wag it every now and then when they do what they are told to do by their masters the budget lords of the entities.

What some will do for attention–pity, poor thing.
19. February 2010 at 5:13 pm
in the late 90’s Clinton appointee Broksey Born tried to warn congress about derivatives and wanted to regulate them before they crashed our economy. She was attacked by Treasury Sec Rubin, Fed Chief Alan Greenspan, and of course the near genius Larry Summer(of Havard fame that numbers makes pretty women’s head hurt). Ms Born was ridiculed by the Clinton hit guys….fast foward to 2008 when our markets collasped due to derivatives.
Looks like Ms Born a female was right and the Clinton/Obama think tank of male experts was wrong.
19. February 2010 at 3:37 pm
NOW I HAVE SEEN IT ALL!!! The world is officially coming to an end folks. Ms. Rogers is a democrat… and black… and she wants to impeach Obama?!?
Glory be…
19. February 2010 at 3:20 pm
She lost with the LaRouche association but I agree that commerce and banking should be separated. You can have a “free for all” but not on a bank charter and federally insured deposits. So… I get to sell widgets and you get to loan me money for my inventory, that’s the deal OK? You can’t own my widget company too. Because the money you are loaning my isn’t your money, its held in trust. Backed up by all the things that make this country great.
Olson will win easily in dist 22. But these challengers are making great points. Hindsight is 20-20, right? But I could have told everyone the free money they were giving away with stated income loans was going to backfire. It just took a little while. Now that the sacker at HEB can’t afford the 350K home, there aren’t as many folks willing to pay 350K for the the “350K” home. Someone should alert the appraisal district because the free market is making its adjustments as we speak.
