Kindergarten registration dates for the 2010-2011 school year have been set for Fort Bend Independent School District elementary schools. Two daytime registration dates will be offered, as well as an evening registration date.
The dates are as follows:
Tuesday, April 13 – all elementary campuses, 6:30 p.m.-8 p.m.
Wednesday, April 14 – all elementary campuses, 8 a.m.-3 p.m.
Thursday, April 15 – all elementary campuses, 8 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.)
To register a child for kindergarten, parents will need a copy of their child’s birth certificate (or its equivalent), immunization records and Social Security card. If a Social Security card is unavailable, a state ID number will be assigned. Also required is proof of residence, which should include a deed, lease or mortgage agreement, a current utility bill (gas, water or electric) and an unexpired Texas driver’s license (or other government provided photo ID of the parent or guardian) that contains the FBISD address of the parent or guardian.
In addition, a child must be five years of age on or before Sept. 1 to enroll in kindergarten in the state of Texas. For more information regarding kindergarten registration, contact the school the child is zoned to.
