MoCity Man Arrested In Rosenberg

Rosenberg police arrested a 22-year-old Missouri City man Sunday for possession of marijuana and possession of a controlled substance.

 Officer Ariel Soltura stopped Joseph Ortegon in the 1300 block of Avenue H after he failed to stop at the red light at the intersection of First St. and Avenue I.  According to police, upon approaching the vehicle Soltura detected the odor of marijuana, and a search of the car revealed marijuana, hydrocodone and another unidentified pill.

Ortegon was found to be in possession of .10ozs of marijuana, a .02 oz marijuana cigarette, 5 grams of hydrocodone and 4.3 grams of a pill that was sent for narcotics analysis.

Ortegon was arrested and taken to the Rosenberg Jail and later transferred to the Fort Bend County Jail.

    The other pill was probably an Advil. Stop the drug war. Ortegon looks like a nice young man with a little weed, for crying out loud, .10 oz is barely enough for those who arrested him to get high on.
