The members of Girl Scout Troop #28061 from Missouri City donated 88 boxes of cookies to Fort Bend Seniors as part of the Cookie Share Program.
“Our seniors not only love to see young children come to volunteer at the congregate centers,” said Manuela Arroyos, CEO of Fort Bend Seniors Meals on Wheels. “They love cookies, too. This is a great way to treat the seniors while showing the girl scouts the importance of giving back to our community.”
People interested in supporting Girl Scouts, but who have already filled their cookie quota, can now purchase cookies through the Cookie Share program. Through this program, cookies are donated to local charitable organizations like Fort Bend Seniors Meals on Wheels.
Customers can support two groups simultaneously – Girl Scouts and the non-profit agency that receives the cookies. In addition, the girls benefit from the opportunity to provide community service. The troop, service unit and GSSJC benefit from the extra sales.

Very true peopleschamp. We need more examples like these for our young people to emulate.
Here’s an example of young people doing some good in this world. All I hear is young people are only up to nefarious activities but this is proof that young people do care about making a difference. I will admit there are some unruly rotten youngsters but on the whole the majority are good citizens.I hope that the future generation realizes that only through doing good in this world can we have a better tommorow.
