Missouri City police have released a composite sketch of a man suspected of repeatedly breaking into a local church without stealing anything. The break-ins led to the pastor and parishioners taking turns sleeping at the church to keep an eye on it.

The suspect is described as a young, thin black male. Anyone with any information should call Detective Greg Nelson at 281-403-8733.
Missouri City police received a call in January reporting a suspicious person hanging around the First Advent Church in the 1800 block of Hollyridge. On Feb. 18, police were called again when someone broke a window to get into the church. Nothing was stolen, but the pastor told police it was obvious that someone rummaged through the building.
A board was placed over the broken window, but it was taken off and someone again got into the church. On Feb. 22 the pastor and his wife were sleeping in the church when they heard a noise. The pastor went to the sanctuary and saw a young black man wearing a black hoodie. He yelled out to the man, and the man ran away, leaving behind a cell phone on a charger and a backpack. The pastor told police it looked like the man had been using the church computer.
