Today Last Day Of Early Voting For Primary Election

Today is the last day of Early Voting for the March 2 Primary Election. As of Feb. 23, 7,425 Republicans and 2,472 Democrats had cast their votes early.

Eligible voters of Fort Bend County may vote at any of the 17 early voting sites and, unlike absentee voting by mail, no reason need be given for voting early.

When voting early, or on Election Day, voters will be asked to select between the primary ballots of the two major parties which will be nominating candidates for the November General Election.

Identification is required in order to vote.  Voters should be prepared to show their voter registration certificate or Texas Driver’s license, or other form of ID before voting.

One new location has been added for this election.  Aliana Clubhouse at the intersection of West Bellfort and new FM 1464 will replace Garica Middle School as an Early Voting location.

A complete list of the county’s Early Voting sites may be found at the county’s election website, http://www.fortbendvotes.org/.  Other election information, including Election Day polling places and sample ballots, is also available on line.

I hope the turnout in Fort Bend is as good as Harris Co. You have no reason to complain if you don’t vote. Get out and vote and I suggest voting for the candidates that give you the most access and transpearancy. Call them and ask them; Are you for lowering taxes? Are you for the Open Records Act, do you think the government in any way is responsible for the World Trade Centers being hit and their collapse? Do you really think white people are willing to work? Are you for or against toll roads? The answers will tell you a lot about your candidate. Vote, not everyone can and it’s free.

Hopefully they are judging them by their actions and less their words. We’ve learned the hard way what politicians WORDS mean.

Something to remember when going to vote:

From the FBStar “Fort Bend ISD budget workshop to which all legislators were invited was attended only by Charlie Howard. Joan Huffman did send a representative. Dora Olivo, who swears to be such a friend of education, was nowhere to be found.”

Guess what wade, Reynolds (D), who you endorsed didn’t show either and the article you quote is from a newspaper that endorsed him and didn’t even mention it. -Truth is a funny thing isn’t it?
