Child Advocates Of Fort Bend Is Going To Oz For 2010 Gala

Child Advocates of Fort Bend will hold the Yellow Brick Gala on April 10 at the Sugar Land Marriott Town Square. Dorothy, Toto and their friends the Tin man, Scarecrow and Lion will join guests for the evening while helping children whose lives have been torn apart by abuse and neglect.

Getting into the theme of Child Advocates of Fort Bend’s 2010 Yellow Brick Gala are Gala Co-Chair Debbie Buckner, Silent Auction Chair Jenn Marker, Shanna and Sharla Sturgeon of Founders Bank, Live Auction Chair Nicole Hawker and Gala Chair Audra O’Neal.

Presented by Founders Bank and Memorial Hermann Sugar Land, the evening will feature live and silent auctions, strolling themed characters and dancing. The auction committee, led by Chair Audra O’Neal, Co-Chair Debbie Buckner and Auction Chairs Nicole Hawker and Jenn Marker is putting together packages for Gala guests, including several trips and a complete bathroom makeover. In preparation for the auction treasures, First Colony Self Storage has  donated storage space until the day arrives.

Child Advocates of Fort Bend serves children in Fort Bend County whose lives have been torn apart by abuse or neglect through its Court Appointed Special Advocates Program and Children’s Advocacy Center. With a force of more than 150 trained volunteers, Child Advocates touches the lives of more than 400 children each month.
