Child Advocates of Fort Bend will kick off child abuse awareness activities with its annual Light of Hope Candle Lighting Event to bring awareness to the hundreds of Fort Bend children who are abused and neglected every year.

The event will be held on the steps of Sugar Land City Hall at Town Square on March 26 starting at 5:30pm. The ceremony will feature various speakers and testimonies. Debbie Fancher, Christian recording artist and Sugar Land resident, will sing with former Sugar Land Mayor David Wallace accompanied by Allison Roorda .
