FBISD’s Community Relations Team Receives Nine State Awards

The Texas School Public Relations Association presented nine awards to the Fort Bend Independent School District’s Community Relations and Partnerships Department for outstanding print media and electronic media during its recent annual conference.

TSPRA recognizes communicators in school districts, education foundations, education associations and organizations for outstanding work. This year, 1,032 entries were received. Of those entries, four Best of Category Awards were given to Fort Bend ISD for: two posters – “Imagine – Safe and Secure Schools” and “Talkline-You Share, We Care”;  Original Art – Opening Minds to Open Doors Poster Artwork; and Invitations/Announcements – In the Jungle Gala Invitation.

Additionally, Gold Star Awards were given to the District for: External Newsletter – FBISD News – Connecting with our Community; Program – Masters in the Art of Teaching Human Resources Brochure; Annual Report – 2008-2009 Community Partnerships Annual Report; and Image Identity Package – Opening Minds to Open Doors. A Silver Star Award was given for the Fort Bend ISD Internal Electronic Newsletter – Employee E-News.
