Missouri City police are investigating after a man said a Yellow Cab driver jumped out of his cab, slapped the victim’s cell phone out of his hand and drove off with it.
According to reports, around 4:15 p.m. yesterday, the victim was walking from a post office to the Subway restaurant in the 2100 block of Texas when a Yellow Cab pulled up next to him and the driver got out and started yelling. The victim said the driver then slapped the cell phone out of his hand, and took off with it.
The victim told police that he was not a passenger in the cab and did not owe the driver any money. The victim told police he assumed the driver thought he was someone else. He also said he wants to press charges.
Police have the cab number, and are investigating.
