A Houston police officer was shot in the leg by his wife, a deputy with the Harris county Precinct 5 Constable’s Office, during an argument in Richmond around 4 p.m. yesterday.
The argument took place at a home in the 21600 block of Cozy Hollow Lane. The man was taken to Oak Bend Hospital. The wife has not been arrested.
The Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the shooting, and once complete will likely present charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon/family violence to the Fort Bend County District Attorney’s Office for review by a grand jury.
