TelfairLife ‘Charity Of Your Choice’ Walk Launches New Website, Walk Slated For April 10

Benefitting 14 Fort Bend area charities, the TelfairLife Charity of Your Choice Walk has launched a new website – www.CharityofYourChoiceWalk.com – where visitors can register online and have 100 percent of their registration fee go to their favorite charity.

CHARITY OF YOUR CHOICE WALK – The annual TelfairLife Charity of Your Choice Walk, slated for April 10, has launched a new website, www.CharityofYourChoiceWalk.com.

This year’s 5K walk will take place Saturday April 10 at Telfair. 

Registration fees are $25 for adults and $10 for children through March 31.

On April 1, fees increase to $30 for adults and $15 for children.
 
In addition to donating the registration fees, walkers will help their favorite charities compete for $20,000 in challenge prize money being donated by TelfairLife.
 
Now in its third year, the Charity of Your Choice Walk will benefit Asians Against Domestic Abuse, Brazos Bend Guardianship Services, Child Advocates of Fort Bend, East Fort Bend Human Needs Ministry, Fort Bend Community Partners Rainbow Room, Fort Bend Education Foundation, Fort Bend Family Promise and Fort Bend Habitat for Humanity. Also, Fort Bend Regional Council on Substance Abuse, National Alliance on Mental Illness Fort Bend, Pregnancy Resource Center of Fort Bend, Second Mile Mission Center, Shape Up Sugar Land and The Arc of Fort Bend County.
 
The Charity of Your Choice Walk will take place rain or shine at Telfair Central Lawn, located in front of the Houston Museum of Natural Science at Sugar Land on University Blvd.

Sugar Land Council Member Jacquie Chaumette will once again serve as master of ceremonies.
 
The event begins with check-in and breakfast at 8 a.m. followed by a welcome and warm-up with Chaumette at 8:30 a.m.

The 5K walk starts at 9 a.m. and will be followed by a post-walk party at 10:30 a.m.

In its first two years, the Charity of Your Choice Walk raised more than $100,000 for Fort Bend charities.
 
TelfairLife is funded and operated by homeowners in the Telfair master-planned community to support social, cultural, charitable, environmental and educational endeavors in Telfair and the surrounding Fort Bend community.
