Average retail gasoline prices in Fort Bend County and the Houston region have risen once again, this time 2.1 cents per gallon in the past week.
The latest increase brings the average price per gallon up to $2.64 locally.
This compares with the national average that has increased 3.3 cents per gallon in the last week to $2.81 per gallon, according to gasoline price website HoustonGasPrices.com.
Including the change in gas prices during the past week, prices today are 80.5 cents per gallon higher than the same day one year ago, and are 20.4 cents per gallon higher than a month ago.
The national average has increased 15.1 cents per gallon during the last month and stands 87.2 cents per gallon higher than this day a year ago.
