Clements High School Students Receive Award For Aspirations In Computing

Three Clements High School students – Wen Chu, Rebekah Cramerus and Vivian Yang - were selected as recipients of the 2010 National Center for Women and Information Technology. Award for Aspirations in Computing.

The award recognizes students’ “computing-related aspirations and demonstrated, outstanding aptitude and interest in information technology/computing; solid leadership ability; good academic history; and plans for post-secondary education.”

As award winners, the students each received a $500 cash award and an engraved award for themselves and their school acknowledging their accomplishment. They were also invited to attend the Bank of America Technology Showcase and Awards Ceremony in Charlotte, North Carolina for further recognition and awards, including a laptop computer.
