Missouri City council has adjusted the Municipal Court schedule to make it more “efficient and effective,” and to allow for more flexibility for residents to schedule court appearances.
The changes include allowing the Court Administrator to work with judges to implement the court docket, as well as making two temporary judges associate judges.
Temporary judges are paid the same as presiding judges, $175 per docket, which is about 1.5 hours. An associate judge is paid $95 per hour.
The changes are aimed towards increasing the number of time slots available for residents to schedule court appearances.

Wow, what an interesting article and forum. It’s amazing what elections bring out in a community. It’s like an airing of all the dirty laundry.
Missouri City seems intent on making the most money it can from the tickets and fines it imposes, which it seems to do at every opportunity. I can understand this for a City in financial trouble, it needs all the sources of revenue it can muster from tax paying residents. But a big contradiction lies in the Mayor and Council Member Wyatt supporting their running mate, Danny Nguyen, who allegedly has multiple tax liens filed against him for non-payment of taxes.
