Ex-Employee Robs Pizzeria, Gives Up As Employees Chase Him Through Parking Lot

An ex-employee of Russo’s Pizzeria at 102300 Hwy. 6 in Missouri City came into the store this morning to report an issue with his final paycheck, and ended up robbing the place, according to police.

Hall-Chand

Ahmad Hall-Chand, 29, went to the pizzeria around 10:52 a.m. to dispute his final paycheck. The manager told him there was nothing she could do about it, and he would have to contact the corporate office. Hall-Chand requested the phone number, and as the manager went to get it, Hall-Chand grabbed a money bag ready for deposit and ran out of the store.

Store employees took off after him in the parking lot. When Hall-Chand tried to get into his car, his key broke off in the driver’s side door, and he continued running through the parking lot as employees chased him.

During the pursuit, Hall-Chand allegedly hit an employee in the eye with his elbow. According to police, Hall-Chand finally got tired and gave up, and the bank bag was recovered. Hall-Chand was arrested and charged with robbery, a second degree felony.

This would seem to qualify for one of those shows about dumb criminals.

    What a goober…

I swear, this dude must be one beer short of a six pack. He thought he could walk into a place that knew him and likely had his SS#, take their money, run and get away with it?!? Geez man… you ain’t too bright.

I love the fact that his car key broke off in the door – almost like the good Lord looked down upon him and said, ‘Nah. I don’t think so.’
