Missouri City At-Large Position 1 Councilman Jerry Wyatt, who kept his seat in the May 8 election, has urged Missouri City residents to boycott advertisers on FortBendNow after audio clips of Wyatt were published in which he accused mayoral candidate and District B Councilwoman Cynthia Lenton-Gary of “using black people.”
“I said people used people,” said Wyatt at Monday night’s swearing in ceremony. “And that got turned around on FortBendNow.”

“I hope that when you go to the FortBendNow you look at those vendors that support them and don’t support them, because I won’t shop with anyone who advertises on the FortBendNow,” said Wyatt.
Along with the most recent story, Wyatt referenced an incident during the 2008 election cycle, when he was challenged for his seat by Noel Pinnock.
A harassment charge was filed by the challenger’s wife, Tiffany Pinnock, after an altercation her and Wyatt as the two were putting up campaign signs.
“Three years ago Noel Pinnock’s wife said I verbally assaulted her,” said Wyatt Monday night. “Which there is no such law.”
FortBendNow published the original story at 10 p.m. April 25, 2008, the night the charges were filed, noting that an after-hours call to Wyatt’s office was not returned.
The following day, an update was published, indicating that the police department was investigating the incident and believed the verbal altercation was mutual. At that time, Wyatt had still not returned phone calls, and has since generally refused to speak to FortBendNow.
During this election cycle, Wyatt originally declined to submit a campaign announcement to FortBendNow, but four days later submitted a two paragraph comment, which was incorporated into an announcement published April 7.

Money contributaters funding local incumbents for more taxpayer dollar and jobs! Example; Clinton Wong of Friendswood Development has been a large contribuater to local Ft. Bend campaign incumbents of Ft. Bend for MUD and home for landfill waste, also !
I’ve always found the articles to be accurate and balanced.

Costello PAC is Houston City Council Member At Large Pos. 1 Steve Costello who I challenged through the entire 2009 in my working for Karen Derr his run-off opponent from an intial field of seven.
Costello owns Costello engineering that acquires city contracts while he is on city council and is pushing or chairing with fellow engineer Jeff Ross for a fall ballot initiative called “Renew Houston” that will feature a new permanent tax for infrastructure work for those that have contributed financially to the initiative.
Would y’all suggest I come up with pseudonym here so I could fit in w/ all the others that can’t or choose not to use their own names? I bet a bunch of y’all can have fun helping me come up with a pseudonym to use.
Nonetheless FIVE out of FIVE wins May 8 was a good May 8, like state rep, supreme court, appeals court and district judge races in which I celebrated wins this past primary season and wins for Anne Clutterbuck and Al Hoang for city council in sw Houston, Nghi Ho for Alief School Board and Ronald Green for City Controller I celebrated last fall.
How about just, “paid pol-hack” Mr. Levine. Also I suggest you take a closer look at the numbers. The mayors were down 10 points over 2006 & 2008 as were the position 2 seat by 5 points. These are statistically significant gains.
BTW, who are you working for now? Do you ever volunteer to work in a campaign or do you just follow the big money races in MC? You were listed on all 3 slate candidates as the PR consultant. Were you responsible for the releases regarding the flase endorsements?

Fortbendnow tells the truth about Wyatt, and now he wants to Boycott them. Get out of here! We finally have unbiased reporting in Fort Bend and it really ticks him off. This guy sticks his foot in his mouth and now wants to shift the blame.

All those out of towners Jerry talked about that were volunteers in the reform oppositions campaigns seems to only apply to his challengers but I see in his official campaign finance reports quite a few developers, lawyers in the land and HOA business along with city vendors listed, most not living in Missouri City either. Are these those “insurgents” he keeps talking about? How come he didn’t take these contributions before his 2008 re-election bid but does now?

I wonder how you disclaim a full statement that was recorded? Is he claiming that the news agency doctored the tape? This reminds me of when he vowed off the developer campaign funding in 2006 only to accept it in ’08 & ’10.
Wyatt is an idiot !
