Lexington Creek Elementary School students and staff held a pep rally in honor of their fourth-grade Destination Imagination team, DI Terminators, which advanced to the Global Destination Imagination competition, held at the University of Tennessee.

Shown prior to their departure to the Global competition are DI Terminators (front row) Yash Desai, Eric Chen, Sarah Soliman, Hunter Baker, and Richard Gu; and (back row) DeaAnne Baker, team coach; Allen Owen, Mayor of the City of Missouri City; Dr. Marc Smith, Assistant Superintendent for Elementary School; and Lucretia DeFlora, principal at Lexington Creek Elementary School.
The pep rally included cheers from the fourth-grade classes, a slide presentation highlighting the team’s performance at the state competition, and the reading of a proclamation declaring May 25 as “DI Terminator Day in Missouri City” by Allen Owen, Mayor of the City of Missouri City.
The DI Terminators advanced to the global competition after earning first place in the Breaking DI News division challenge at the state competition, held at the University of North Texas.

How neat for them! Kudos to the City for getting involved and encouraging these kiddo’s.
