Average retail gasoline prices in the Fort Bend County area have fallen another 4.5 cents per gallon in the past week, averaging $2.59 per gallon yesterday.
This compares with the national average that has fallen 4.4 cents per gallon in the last week to $2.73 per gallon, according to gasoline price website HoustonGasPrices.com.
Including the drop in prices last week, prices in Fort Bend yesterday were 24.9 cents per gallon higher than the same day one year ago, but are 12.1 cents per gallon lower than a month ago.
The national average has decreased 16.4 cents per gallon during the last month and stands 23.1 cents per gallon higher than this day a year ago.
