Average retail gasoline prices in the Fort Bend area have fallen for the third week in a row, dropping by another 3.1 cents per gallon last week.
The local average now stands at $2.56 per gallon as of yesterday.
This compares with the national average that has fallen 0.2 cents per gallon in the last week to $2.73 per gallon, according to gasoline price website HoustonGasPrices.com.
Including the change in gas prices during the past week, local prices yesterday were 13.5 cents per gallon higher than the same day one year ago and are 19.9 cents per gallon lower than a month ago.
The national average has decreased 18.6 cents per gallon during the last month and stands 14.3 cents per gallon higher than this day a year ago.
