Thieves Break Glass, Steal Cigarettes, Beer From MoCity Gas Station

Around 12:30 this morning, unknown suspects broke into the Chevron as station at 6181 Hwy.6, likely stealing beer and cigarettes, according to Missouri City police.

Police responded to an alarm at the business, and discovered that a glass door on the north side of the building had been shattered, and the electricity had been turned off. The last employee to leave the store closed it down at midnight.

The store was ransacked, with stands knocked over and Black and Mild cigarettes scattered on the floor. According to reports, beer was not stacked to the front of the case, and police believe the suspects stole a 12-pack each of Heineken, Miller and Bud Light beer.

The store has surveillance cameras, but the employee on the scene was unable to get them to work. The burglary is under investigation.
