Sugar Land, Missouri City RediClinics Now Offers Nebulizer Breathing Treatments

Individuals who experience wheezing, allergy- or sinus-triggered coughing and trouble breathing can get symptomatic relief through nebulizer breathing treatments now available at the Sugar Land and Missouri City RediClinics.

Through the use of this clinically-supervised nebulizer treatment, patients breathe medication directly to the lungs to help ease airway inflammation allowing for easier breathing.

The treatment is effective for individuals experiencing wheezing, coughing and trouble breathing caused by respiratory conditions like asthma, reactive airway disease and bronchitis.

“More than 60 million American children and adults suffer from asthma and allergies,” said Susan Cooley King, vice president of Clinical Services at RediClinic. “For those who suffer from certain respiratory conditions, nebulizer breathing treatments are a tremendous relief.  RediClinic is excited to offer this treatment option to Sugar Land and Missouri City residents.”

RediClinic clinicians can provide treatment for mild to moderate symptoms. No appointment is necessary to receive the nebulizer breathing treatment.  Patients will be prioritized and treated on site according to the severity of their symptoms, with a referral to a community physician for ongoing care.

RediClinic is an in-store care healthcare facility staffed by certified nurse practitioners and physician assistants who work in partnership with physicians from local healthcare systems to diagnose, treat and prescribe medications for common medical conditions such as earaches, strep throat, and upper respiratory infections. RediClinic clinicians also administer a wide range of preventive services, including health screenings, vaccinations, and basic physical exams.

RediClinics are open seven days a week (including most holidays) and offer extended hours on weekdays. Adults and children over the age of eighteen months are welcome, and no appointments are necessary.

RediClinic visits are covered by the five largest commercial health insurance carriers in Texas – Aetna, BlueCross BlueShield of Texas, CIGNA, Humana and UnitedHealthcare and a growing number of other third-party payers including Medicare. For those who do not have health insurance, or who are covered by a plan that does not have an agreement with RediClinic, “Get Healthy” visits are available at a prompt pay cash or credit price.

The Sugar Land RediClinic located in the HEB at 19900 Hwy 59, and the Missouri City RediClinic located in the HEB at 8900 Hwy 6, are open seven days a week, and no appointments are necessary.
