In anticipation of the November 2010 opening of Hyatt Place Houston/Sugar Land, Woodbine Development Corporation has announced the appointment of Michael Gleeson as general manager.
Gleeson brings 16 years of hospitality experience to this new role, having previously worked in several general manager positions, including his most recent role as the district general manager for Hyatt Place Fort Worth/Hurst.
Gleeson will be directly responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the hotel, including managing the hotel’s staff members.
“We are looking forward to welcoming Hyatt Place Houston/Sugar Land to the area, especially with such a great management team in place. Gleeson offers substantial industry and Hyatt Place brand knowledge, as well as specific hospitality experience in the Texas market, which we believe will be a key factor to the success of this property,” said King Scovell, Woodbine’s director of development ventures with Hyatt.
Hyatt Place Houston/Sugar Land will be located at the 190-acre Lake Pointe Town Center and will offer 214 guest rooms.
