Armed men tied up four Sugar Land residents and ransacked their home late last night.
According to police, four black men, armed with handguns, entered a residence in the 1100 block of Sugar Lakes around 10:46 p.m. They tied up four adults inside the home, then ransacked the house and fled with property.

I suggest they put more officers on patrol looking for vehicles that appear suspicious, and following them. Nothing makes criminals more likely to find better pastures than realizing that the police area actively patrolling.
And put fewer officers on traffic patrol. It’s pretty clear to me that SLPD has quotas to meet, and they have a budget number to hit for violations and fines, as they are constantly looking to hand out non-moving violations for the slightest thing. I can speak from first hand experience, more than once.
I thought the cameras were put in to release officers to real crime patrol? I guess those fines and fees are more important than we thought!
Unfortunately, it’s impossible to be everywhere at once. It’s easy to pass the blame over to SLPD when we all know the punk thugs that are committing these crimes are the ones that are soley responsible.
That’s right, no one should expect the police to stop crime.
Yeah, the cops should’ve miraculously been in those peoples’ backyard at that very moment. Yep. All SLPD’s fault.
“Yep. All SLPD’s fault.”
Those are your words. These were mine, “That’s right, no one should expect the police to stop crime.”
Yes, as suggested by americafirst and nma we should expect our law enforcement agencies to be more focussed on crime and less focussed on fine/fee generation for the higher ups.
They are focused on crime.
Get yourself a police scanner and hear for yourself. I do.
Wow, a CHL and a police scanner. That will scare them away from SL.
I wonder what the police are doing to address all these home invasions?
What do you suggest?
