A man was shot and killed in front of a home in the 900 block of Derby Lane in Missouri City last night.
Police were called around 8:10 p.m. to Derby Lane near Mountshire Drive after someone heard shots fired. When they arrived they found a man laying in the front yard of a residence. He appeared to have been shot several times, and was unresponsive. When Missouri City fire personnel and Fort Bend County Emergency Medical Service personnel arrived, they pronounced him dead at the scene.
A witness reported seeing two black males in their early 20’s leaving the scene after the victim was shot. The first suspect was described as being approximately 6’1”tall, approximately 160 lbs, wearing a white shirt and blue shorts. The second suspect was described as being approximately 5’10” -6ft tall, 150-160 lbs., wearing a red shirt and khaki pants. The suspects were seen leaving the scene is a red 4-door vehicle, possibly a Pontiac Grand Prix or Grand Am.
Responding officers checked the area for the suspect vehicle and were unable to locate it.
This incident is currently an open and active investigation.
