800 Still Without Power In Fort Bend

Thunderstorms with high winds caused damage across Fort Bend County during the early evening hours on Monday, resulting in power outages for more than 25,000 residents.

As of 6 a.m. Tuesday, Centerpoint Energy officials reported that 800 customers in Fort Bend County are still without power.  These power outages are in Rosenberg, Richmond, and the surrounding areas around the two communities. 

The utility indicates that they have crews in the area and they are working to restore power as quickly as possible.   All circuits were successfully restored overnight and utility crews are now working on line fuses and transformers.
