Houston Hot Sauce Festival Coming To Stafford

The 10h Annual Houston Hot Sauce Festival will be held Sept. 18 and 19 at the Stafford Centre, 10505 Cash Rd. Festival hours are Saturday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from Noon to 5 p.m. Admission is $5 with free parking. Proceeds benefit Snowdrop Foundation Cancer Research.

Returning in the Hot and Fiery Food category are Austin Spice Co., Austin, CaJohn’s Fiery Foods, Columbus, OH, Meme’s Jams and Jellies, Dayton, The Texas Gourmet, Houston and more.  Food Concessionaires include JLB Enterprises, Houston, and Texas Cajun Crawfish Sausage, Leakey.  Jan Mingus of Stained Glass Expressions, Houston, is a 10 year alumni. 

Vendors from Chicago, Maryland, Louisiana, Ohio, Florida and Texas will be at the show.  CaJohn’s Fiery Foods, Ohio, is bringing The Execution Station. 

The reining champ for “Hottest Hot Sauce at the Festival” had to bow out this year, but Fireman Jim Campbell, who held the award for four years running with his Stupid Hot is heading back this way from Indiana to try and get that title back. 

Hundreds of award winning hot sauce, salsa, chips, dips, peppers, spices, jams/jellies, marinades, rubs, wing sauce, and more will be available for purchase.

Comedian J Anthony Brown with the Tom Joyner Morning Show will be selling his hot sauce. 

The event will also feature pepper clothes, jewelry, vendor stalls with arts and crafts, ongoing live entertainment and a children’s area. For more information visit www.houstonhotsauce.com.
