    Just like Rep. Pete Olson says Health is a family mattern to solve, prohibitting big governmnt health reform bill! Thence why do we has
    big Gov. fighting illegal & legal drugs for control ?

    How about just educating people and let them make up their own minds on what they want to eat? Make this a focus of primary and secondary education, teaching kids about nutrition and the way it contributes to their health and happiness?

    Why so many people seem to want government to rule our daily lives in more and more ways mystifies me. What happens when the government comes after YOU and YOURS? That’s the day you will rue.

    I’m also for those making their own decisions and choices taking the responsibility for them. Eat what you want, but if it causes you health issues, don’t expect others to fix things for you. You made your bed, now lie in it.

      america1st, i often hear you shouting about ‘big government’ but rarely hear you shouting about corporate globalization, you know, multi-national corporations that have grown much larger than most governments and pretty much do what they want. how did you feel when MicroSoft helped China develop software that screens out web-sites that have anything to do with constitutional democracy or when the major car companies got bailed out along with the major banks with our tax dollars? when do the middle class taxpayers-citizens get protection from elite corporate abuses?

        Am I required to shout about one to shout about the other? I’m not telling anyone what to focus their attention on, that’s an individual choice. For the record, I trust government not at all, and big business hardly ever, they both have their best interests at heart.

        And for me the biggest difference between big business and government? One backs up their decrees by force – jail time, fines, or if all else fails, with guns – and the other, well, not so much. Government has far more tools in their belt than big business. See how Obama plans to force you to buy health insurance? By fining you if I don’t. Big business can’t force me to buy their products or listen to them like government can.

    the liberal answer to everything, tax it.

    • bladerunner says:

      Yes it is ashame when we have to tax the middle so heavily for both parties and cut so many special deals with the corporate welfare bunch. It sure would be nice to see a fair tax instead of just talk from both of the major tax subsidized parties feeding their own company boys. One party is the liberals and the other the liars.

      What a bunch.

    Fighting obesity by ending junkfoods an limitting sweet drinks to a low level, will help defeat diabetes. A high sales tax on junkfoods to raise
    public school and fight obesity!
