Sugar Land To Hold Open House At City Hall

The City of Sugar Land will hold the city’s first open house from 4:30-6:30 p.m. Sept. 22 at City Hall, 2700 Town Center Blvd. North.

City departments will staff tables explaining new projects and programs provided to residents. Participants attending the event can tour City Hall,  visit with the mayor and City Council members, learn more about Sugar Land’s new baseball team, tour the East Fort Bend Hazardous Materials Team truck, get tips from crime prevention officers, learn about the city’s new recreation center, get information about plans for surface water conversion, participate in efforts to plan for the future of mobility, learn about solid waste and recycling enhancements, have children fingerprinted and visit with staff members representing city departments.

Immediately following the Open House, residents are also invited to help shape Sugar Land’s long-term mobility plans by participating in a citywide Mobility Summit. The event will also be held in City Hall from 6:30-8:30 p.m.
