Richmond, Rosenberg Residents Busted For Smuggling Cell Phones To Inmates

Four Richmond and Rosenberg residents have been arrested for allegedly engaging in organized criminal activity after detectives uncovered an organization that was smuggling cell phones to inmates in the Fort Bend County Detention Facility.

The arrests were the culmination of a four-month covert operation that began when a correctional officer found an inmate to be in possession of an illegal cell phone.

The Detention Officials’ investigation led to the identification of three additional suspects who were not in custody and are residents of Richmond and Rosenberg.

The Fort Bend County Narcotics Task Force was requested to conduct an investigation into the organized group of suspects.  Task Force agents were able to infiltrate the organization and gather evidence as to the suspects responsible for purchasing the cellular phone, the preparation and packaging of the cellular phones and the suspects responsible for smuggling the cellular phone into the Detention Facility.

The evidence was provided to the Fort Bend County District Attorneys Office to be presented to the Fort Bend County Grand Jury.

After presenting the evidence to the Fort Bend County Grand Jury, four felony indictments for the offense of Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity were issued for

Justin Trevino, a 19-year-old Richmond resident, Toni Trevino, a 19-year-old Richmond resident, Samantha Alaniz, a 21-year-old Rosenberg resident and Christopher Comacho, a 28-year-old Rosenberg resident.

Justin Trevino, and Toni Trevino are being held of $30,000 bonds, Alaniz on a $15,000 bond and Comacho on a $250,000 bond. The suspects were arrested at their residences by The Fort Bend County Fugitive Warrant Division.
