Bush High School Graduate Receives Fisher Tull Endowed Scholarship

Adrienne Copeland, a 2010 graduate of Bush High School and current freshman at Sam Houston State University, is recipient of the Fisher Tull Endowed Scholarship. SHSU Associate Professor Kathryn Daniel invited Copeland to audition for the scholarship.

After a lengthy process that involved submitting a written essay, and completing an intense audition and interview before a panel of judges, Copeland was announced a winner of the scholarship at a recent SHSU Orchestral Concert. She is the first flutist in more than nine years to win the scholarship.

Copeland was accepted into the SHSU School of Music this fall and is majoring in music education. She was the 2009-2010 Drum Major for the Bush High School Marching Band, and is currently a member of SHSU’s top Wind Ensemble, having earned 5th chair alongside graduate and senior music majors.
