Almost 7,000 Fort Bend County residents voted early on Saturday, with and more than 2,000 voters casting their ballots Sunday. Sunday was the busiest day so far, with only 10 sites open for five hours. All 17 sites are open today until 7 p.m.

Turnout for Early Voting in Fort Bend County is heaviest in the areas in the Katy Independent School District. The district has a large bond referendum on the ballot.
On Saturday, 6,919 Early Votes were cast, bringing the total for the first week to 33,688. Another 5,839 ballots have been returned by mail to the Fort bend County Election Office.
Turnout was again the heaviest in those areas that are included in Katy Independent School District, which has a large bond referendum on the ballot. Turnout also jumped significantly at both Hightower High School and Aliana Clubhouse.
During the second week of Voting, all seventeen sites are scheduled to be open 7 a.m.-7 p.m. except for Pecan Grove Baptist Church on FM 359. This site will close at 5 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 29.
