A 38-year-old man was abducted and assaulted in Sugar Land Saturday after a business deal went wrong, according to police.
The victim was walking on Baldwin Crossing when he was forced into a car occupied by two men and a woman. The suspects accused the victim of fraud related to a business deal and took him to a nearby location where he was assaulted by the two men.
Police were called to the 7400 block of Newbury Trail around 6 p.m., regarding a fight in progress. The victim sustained minor injuries and was not treated by paramedics.
Police arrested California resident Amrik Ghallon, 47, Paramjit Bhullar, a 46-year-old Canadian citizen, and 48-year-old Sukhraj Atwal, also a Canadian citizen, and charged all three with kidnapping and aggravated assault.
The investigation is ongoing.
