Average retail gasoline prices in Fort Bend have fallen 2.0 cents per gallon in the past week. The current average price for a gallon of unleaded regular was $2.59 as of yesterday.
GAS PRICES DROP – Gas prices in the Fort Bend area dropped by two cents last week to an average of $2.59 per gallon.
The local average compares with a national average that has fallen 0.7 cents per gallon in the last week to $2.80 per gallon according to gasoline price website HoustonGasPrices.com.
Including the change in gas prices in Fort Bend during the past week, prices yesterday were 7.9 cents per gallon higher than the same day one year ago and are 9.6 cents per gallon higher than a month ago.
The national average has increased 9.2 cents per gallon during the last month and stands 12.9 cents per gallon higher than this day one year ago.
