Customer Inside Robbed Bank Follows Suspects, Two Arrested

A bank customer, after witnessing the robbery of a Capital One Bank, followed the suspects, leading to their arrest by Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office deputies.

According to reports, the Capital One Bank at 11507 Hwy. 6 South at West Airport was robbed around 11:42 a.m. Nov. 20. A suspect approached a teller with a note demanding cash.  

The robbery was witnessed by a customer inside the bank who followed the suspect outside and witnessed him get into the passenger side of a Toyota Camry and leave the parking lot.  The witness began following the suspects and called the Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office, giving the suspects’ location and direction of travel. 

The witness saw the suspects travel to the 14900 block Laytham Ln. in the Providence Subdivision where the passenger was seen exiting the vehicle and enter into a home. 

Deputies with the Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office arrived at the scene and arrested the driver of the Toyota Camry, Lloyd Taylor West, 19, of Houston.  Deputies identified the second suspect as Steven Pless Hines, 18, of Sugar Land, previously identified by the witness.

The two suspects are being charged with robbery and are currently incarcerated in the Fort Bend County Detention Facility with a $100,000 bond.

    Seriously? That’s a nice subdivision. One of them got out and went in a home?

    Good call following them, but you must be extremely careful doing that. Make sure they don’t know you are following them.
