FCCA Announces Board Of Directors Election Results

The First Colony Community Association has announced the final results of its recent Board of Directors election.  The results are certified by the CPA providing election oversight and members of the Elections Committee.

Eleanor Blain, Fred Fogarty and Myatt Hancock are the new members of the FCAA board.

“We are thrilled to welcome our new members to the Board of Directors,” said FCCA Board of Directors President Don Olson.  “I’m excited to begin working with the new team and I feel confident that we will accomplish great things in 2011.”

Candidates who ran in the election include Anthony Maroulis, Howard Moline, Dave Moss and Howard Paul.

Blain was elected in the general election with a majority of the votes cast. Hancock and Fogarty were elected in a following run-off election. As directed in the association’s bylaws, members who personally attended the annual meeting for the association were eligible to cast a run-off ballot.  Members who did not personally attend the annual meeting, but cast a ballot / proxy in the general election, had that original general election ballot / proxy recast in the run-off election.

Ballots / proxies assigned to the Secretary of the Association are by policy cast for the two candidates receiving the most votes from the members.
