Stafford Ice House Shooting Suspect Turns Himself In

One of four suspects suspected in last week’s Stafford Ice House shooting has surrendered, according to reports, and is being held on a $200,000 bond.

Michael Marin turned himself in to the Fort Bend Sheriff’s Office this morning. A capital murder warrant was issued for Michael Marin on Dec. 23, along with Francisco Marin, Tony Marin and Joe Marin. Two of the suspects are brothers, the other two are cousins.

The four are suspects in a shooting last week that left two people dead. According to reports, around 2 a.m. Dec. 20 an argument between family members and associates occurred at the Stafford Ice House, 3230 South Main. One group was ejected from the bar. The group that was ejected returned and at least one person began shooting as they entered the bar.

Six people were shot and one person had severe facial injuries from a physical altercation. Two victims were pronounced dead at the scene, and the other victims were taken to hospitals by LifeFlight and ambulance, two in critical condition.
