Due to the “tremendous” response, The George Foundation will have a repeat performance of the Foundation’s Scholarships/Financial Aid Information Event at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 3 with presentations beginning at 6:45 p.m. The workshop will be held on the University of Houston System at Sugar Land campus in Room 103, also referred to as The Multipurpose Room, of Brazos Hall, 14004 University Blvd. in Sugar Land.
High school seniors, parents, youth counselors, and college students of all ages and classifications can learn about scholarships offered by The George Foundation. Other topics discussed will be the Free Application for Federal Student Aid, what it is and why it is important for students to complete and/or update annually, and what scholarship evaluators look for in reviewing and scoring scholarship applications
