Coal Vines Coming To Lake Pointe Town Center

Planned Community Developers, Ltd. has announced that Coal Vines will soon open its first Houston-area location in Lake Pointe Town Center in fall 2011.    The restaurant will provide another waterfront dining option in the Whole Foods-anchored Lake Pointe Village shopping center at the intersection of U.S. 59 and Hwy. 6.

Coal Vines is a full-service restaurant and bar serving gourmet pizzas, pastas, sandwiches and other Italian-style entrees.  The restaurant currently has locations in Dallas and Southlake and two under construction in Plano and Austin. The eatery will be located at 1550 Lake Pointe Parkway, Suite 100 and will occupy 3,012 square feet of space.

“We wanted to bring a casual neighborhood restaurant to Sugar Land that offers coal-fired pizza and other great pasta dishes,” said Coal Vines Owner Jim Hammond.  “We chose this location at Lake Pointe Town Center in large part due to its beautiful setting on the water.”

James Namken with The Weitzman Group represented Coal Vines in the transaction.  Charles Adams, vice president of retail for PCD, represented PCD.
