Three Out Of Four Incumbents File For Re-election In MoCity

Three out of the four incumbents up for re-election for Missouri City council have filed to keep their seats. The incumbents include District A Councilman Bobby Marshall, District B Councilman Don Smith and District C Councilman Robin Elackatt.

Don Smith was appointed to council last year to replace former Councilwoman Cynthia Lenton-Gary after her failed mayoral run against Mayor Allen Owen.

District D Councilman Brett Kolaja has not at this time filed for re-election.

Candidates can file at the city secretary’s office at City Hall, 1522 Texas Parkway, between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday though Friday.

Maybe the FBN site moderator will allow you then to choose which posts are allowed and which aren’t since it appears you have taken on that unofficial moniker of responsibility,

In what way can a Missouri City incumbent improve or fail to improve a taxpayer? Can he make the tax payer smarter, stronger, faster??? Is is the responsibility of a Missouri City incumbent to improve tax payers or should tax payers improve their own weight, income or educattion or however else an individual can improve or fail to improve themselves?

      Bad Burt Levine

It sounds like you are picking on fellow posters again Burt. Perhaps he is addressing the failure of the current council to pass any significant tax reform efforts that help homeowners, like all the chatter last year regarding inclusion of homestead exemptions for ALL Missouri City residents or possibly not dipping so heavily into the reserve accounts of the city to give the appearance of a balanced budget. Or maybe it is in regards to the millions and millions spent on one neighborhood while ignoring all other taxpaying neighborhoods in the city. Oh, btw Mr. Levine, are you receiving a political consultants salary for dogging “viewpoint” all the time on these threads?

    • TxGal says:

I agree, viewpoint’s comment made no sense ??

  3. MoCity says:

All of them? Guilty by association, eh?

  4. viewpoint says:

Oppose re-electing Missori City incumbents failing to improve taxpayers.
