Children At Risk recently awarded the Top 10 High Schools and the Top Five Middle and Elementary Schools in the Greater Houston Area with a certificate commending their schools’ performance. Ginger Carrabine, principal – Walker Station Elementary School – 1st, Charmaine Hobin, principal – Commonwealth Elementary School – 2nd, Julie Diaz, principal – Fort Settlement Middle School – 3rd, and Lee Crews, principal – Clements High School – 8th, received certificates on behalf of their Fort Bend ISD schools.

Also, included in the top 10 Children at Risk ranking list for Middle Schools was Sartartia Middle School, ranked seventh. Clements High School was third in the ranking for the Greater Houston’s Top High Schools in Science and Mathematics.
Children At Risk strives to improve the quality of life of children across Texas through strategic research, public policy analysis, education, collaboration and advocacy. For several years, Children At Risk has evaluated the public schools in Greater Houston to hold schools accountable for providing quality public education to all students, and has recently extended this report to include all public schools across Texas.
The School Rankings strives to serve as an accessible guide for parents, educators, and community members on the performance of local schools and to spark important community dialogue on the quality of public education in Texas.
