Detectives with the Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office have arrested four suspects who are believed to have burglarized a home in the Tara Subdivision.
On April 6 a witness contacted the Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office after observing several suspicious persons jump a backyard fence carrying trash bags. The witness also noticed a suspicious vehicle continuously driving around the block. Fort Bend Deputies arrived at the residence, 6000 block of Kearney Dr., and confirmed the residence had been burglarized.
Deputies have arrested Rosenberg resident Jeremy D. Bryant, held on a $20,000 bond, Richmond resident Keith Booker, held on a $40,000 bond, Richmond resident Demarquis D. Faniel, held on a $20,000 bond and Richmond resident Kory T. Aldridge, held on a $20,000 bond. All four suspects are 19 years old and charged with burglary of a habitation, a second degree felony.
Deputies also recovered electronics stolen from the residence.

I’m guessing the chubby guy in the top left picture was not one of the guys jumping the fence.
Is the Tara Subdivision being considered as potential annexation by Sugar Land? I thought that area was considered Richmond in Lamar CISD. Correct me if I am wrong.
I regret to say but that area had signs of not being an area that was going to stand the test of time as a desirable area; although at one point, it was a cutesy, nice affordable exurbs area with families who represented mid America with a sprinkling of a few high rollers.
Seemingly, lots of families were moving out due to job transferees and some families were moving due to moving up elsewhere for bigger and better neighborhoods or the perception thereof in the mid 1980’s to the early 1990’s. Lots of the homes became rental properties.
Yes, I believe it’s in Sugar Land ETJ and up for future annexation.
But Crabb River Rd in general is a mess with randomness springing up, including developers that keep trying to get approval for low-income apts. But perhaps the worst thing is that the road is only one lane each way and needs to be widened for the amount of traffic it has.
On the other hand, somehow the local planners were able to get funds for the widening of FM 1464, which is starting to boom and last time I drove up that way many upscale Telfair-type homes were springing up just north of West Airport Blvd in the Aliana development.
However, Sugar Land has its priorities all mixed up IMO with wanting to sprawl out past the Brazos instead of staying more central and compact, and has failed to gain control of the lands around (north and west) of the airport. With gas prices going up without end, the city would be better off staying more compact and filling in areas that are already near its important areas. Instead of being bullied or intimidated by Houston, Sugar Land should be investigating potential buying or leasing of Cullinan Park to add park space to the city’s portfolio, and taking ETJ west of the airport to use to its own advantage.
Sugarland already has Greatwood & New Territory in their ETJ for future annexation; they do not plan to annex Tara as that is not the level of subdivision they want for tax purposes. Sugarland annexed Riverpark a year or so back, and they will do the same with NT & Greatwood when those debts are retired. No doubt they will also move west of the airport next, and the prison farm site etc. Don’t think they are interested in going further north of the current city limits, those areas are viewed as undesirable to annex.
Tara is an older, not very affluent area. Sugar Land would be much better off annexing the areas west of the airport instead.
Its too bad the home owner was not sitting at the litchen table cleaning his deer rifle! Nothing worse than a THIEF!!
No such thing as free money… get a job!!!
