FBCSO Deputies Looking For Person Of Interest In Construction Site Murder

The Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office has released photos of a man considered a “person of interest” in the murder of a security guard during a construction site burglary.

Fort Bend County Sheriff’s deputies are looking for this man, a person of interest in the April 20 murder of a security guard during a construction site theft.

Deputies were called around 12:34 a.m. April 20 to the J.D. Abrams construction site at 8400 block of F.M. 2234. According to detectives, private security guard Fidel Sanchez, a 26-year-old Houston resident, responded to an alarm call at the premises, discovered a theft in progress and was shot by an unknown suspect.

Sanchez, suffering from several gunshot wounds, was taken by ambulance to Memorial Herman Hospital and pronounced dead shortly after his arrival.

Information, which leads to the apprehension and filing of charges on the suspect(s) involved, could earn the caller up to $5,000 cash reward. All calls to Crime Stoppers are anonymous.
