Ridgegate Elementary’s “Prek To Kinder Transition” Celebration prepares Parents For Coming School Year

To help parents/guardians prepare for their child’s kindergarten year in school, Ridgegate Elementary School’s Parent Resource Center hosted a “Prek to Kinder Transition” celebration. The event offered parents information regarding attendance policies, clinical procedures, and enrollment into the FBISD’s Extended Day Program.

Pictured are students Karla Ulloa and Hijaken Bennett with (back row) Erika Ulloa, parent; Monica Vallery, Ridgegate Elementary School’s Parent Resource Center Coordinator; and parents Shaweina and Hector Bennett.

Parents also received “Ready for Kindergarten” bags filled with grade-appropriate reading books in both English and Spanish, Internet Safety brochures, FBISD Extended Day Program information, The Oliver Foundation’s Healthy Kids Fact Sheet, and other important information to help parents prepare for the coming school year.
