Retail gasoline prices in Fort Bend continued to climb last week, increasing by just over a penny per gallon.
The average price for unleaded regular rose by 1.1 cents per gallon in the past week to an average of $3.58 per gallon yesterday.
The local price compared with a national average that increased 2.0 cents per gallon in the last week to $3.69, according to gasoline price website HoustonGasPrices.com.
Including the change in gas prices in Fort Bend during the past week, prices yesterday were $1.06 per gallon higher than the same day one year ago and are 14.6 cents per gallon higher than a month ago.
The national average has increased 9.9 cents per gallon during the last month and stands 94.4 cents per gallon higher than this day one year ago.
