Fort Bend County Home to Five of Top 20 Master Planned Communities, Telfair at Number Six

Fort Bend County is home to five of the top 20 master planned communities in the nation, according to a new listing released by a top provider of housing research information.

Cinco Ranch came in second in the nationwide listing from Metrostudy.

In addition to Cinco Ranch at the number-two spot, Newland Communities’ Telfair came in 6th, Johnson Development’s Sienna Plantation was 14th and Riverstone 16th. Shadow Creek Ranch came in at number 19.

“Fort Bend County has experienced a tremendous amount of growth over recent years,” said Riverstone General Manager Tom Wilcox. “When you take into account the positive business climate and quality of life available in the County, it’s not surprising that five of the top MPCs are located in Fort Bend County.”

Metrostudy noted that “Texas and specifically, the Houston housing market, remain the hottest location,” and cites that the most successful master planned communities have “close proximity to employment centers and services, open space, walkable amenities, town centers and themed lifestyles” as common traits.
