A 12-year-old boy was hospitalized after he was hit by a car Sunday evening in the New Territory area of Fort Bend County, officials said. The boy was riding a bicycle when he rode through a red light about 5:45 p.m. and was hit by a 2004 Lincoln sedan, Department of Public Safety Trooper Devon Wiles said.

He has a fractured hip joint according to his mother, but it does not require surgery. Also a fracture to bone right under ear, but ENT says it too will heal on its own. Luckily, he was wearing a helmet!
Glad to hear his injuries were relatively minor.
